SWISS CHAMBER ACADEMY
String quartet concert with masterpieces of the repertoire
interpreted by finalists from the 2023 Masterclasses
The Swiss Chamber Academy has proved itself since its first edition in 2014 with undeniable success. Each season, some eighty particularly talented students from all over the world, selected from the great schools of music, are invited to take classes in performance and participate in an intense phase of rehearsals. This mentoring leads to several subscription concerts featuring string quartets, string and wind ensembles as well as singing. In keeping with the values developed by the SCC for more than twenty years, participants explore the classical and contemporary repertoire under the guidance of artists connected to the world’s greatest stages such as Heinz Holliger, Thomas Zehetmair and Julian Prégardien, to name but a few.
The SCCs are committed to promoting young musicians through an ongoing dialogue among generations, encouraging them to pursue excellence, be faithful to the score, and listen as intensely as possible to each other.
