Dear Audience,

More than twenty-five years ago, I co-founded the Swiss Chamber Concerts with Daniel Haefliger and Jürg Dähler, and have since served as artistic director of the series in Basel. The time has now come for me to pass on this responsibility. This season, the pianist Kirill Zvegintsov will take on this role. His curiosity, artistic integrity and profound commitment to chamber music promise to carry our series forward at the highest level and with passion, enriching it with his own vision and personality.

This new season fully reflects the spirit that has always inspired the Swiss Chamber Concerts. The centenary of György Kurtág is one of its guiding threads, alongside works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven and Holliger, as well as several world premieres. These encounters bear witness to a conviction that has never left me: music is a living tradition, constantly renewed by those who create it, perform it and share it.

Throughout all these years, I have had the privilege of sharing this adventure with exceptional artists, loyal partners, dear friends and an audience whose trust has never failed us. To each and every one of them, I offer my deepest gratitude.

Chamber music is an art of transmission. In this spirit, I wish you a new season rich in discoveries and warmly thank Kirill Zvegintsov for now carrying this story forward.
