Saison 25/26

Dear Audience,

Some seasons follow a familiar thread; ours, as always, choose audacity as their compass. Over the coming months, each concert will be a journey—at times dizzying, at times luminous—through vast territories where tradition converses with the flashes of today’s creativity.

We entrust this voyage to exceptional guides. Thomas Zehetmair, violinist and conductor with a visionary instinct, will open wide the doors to the unheard. The inventive breath of Heinz Holliger, a towering figure of European modernity, will meet the radiant depth of Ilya Gringolts and the nuanced, glowing voice of Sarah Wegener. Around them orbits a constellation of performers united by a shared ambition: to serve music without embellishment or compromise.

Six world premieres, commissioned by the Swiss Chamber Concerts, will punctuate our season. Each carries the promise of a first public breath, an instant when something that did not exist the day before becomes vital. Because the adventure of today’s music is nourished by memory, we will weave it tightly with the timeless pages of the repertoire such as Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante or Schumann’s Piano Quartet.

This new season calls for open listening, unfiltered wonder, and burning curiosity. Whoever steps into our concerts agrees to question their landmarks, to risk raw emotion, to share the silence before the first note—and the resonance after the last. May we, together, make these moments vibrate with the same urgency as those who bring them to life.
